If you catch or buy them, you don't know how old they are or how long they will live. On average, our ants last a few months. Sometimes we hear enthusiastic stories from people who have had ants in the gel ant farm for longer than a year. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the lifespan of ants, but if all ants die within the first two weeks, we will send a new ant colony for free (provided the gel has been prepared correctly).\u003c\/p\u003e\n \n\n\u003ch2\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nHow long does the gel remain a food source for the ants?\u003c\/h2\u003e\n \n\n\u003cp\u003eThe Antquarium gel is a complete food source for ants. Since they don't eat much and even excavate and reuse the waste from the gel, they can last months to a maximum of a year.
