Ant Farm Plaster Master Set

We can well imagine that making a choice is difficult when seeing all the possibilities for keeping ants as pets and all the available (care) products. That is why we have put together a special set that guarantees an excellent starting point for this super fun hobby!

A sleekly designed Plaster Ant Farm forms the heart of this setup. A completely handmade robust plaster nest, very solidly assembled (in the Netherlands)!

The Ant Farm is specially designed with a unique moisture reservoir. From the center of the nest, you regulate the humidity with the included syringe. The chambers in the middle around the moisture reservoir are shallow (4mm), so you can observe the center of your colony well. The chambers on the outside are deeper (7mm), so the workers can beautifully store their seeds and food supplies there. All chambers and passages are connected. Be amazed at how the ants use and arrange this space and experience for yourself whether they stick to our 'script'!

Openings are made on both sides to connect the Ant Farm to the test tube with the colony and the feeding dish or arena.

You understand that we cannot but call this the 'Master series'. We have designed these ant farms based on our many years of experience in breeding and caring for ant colonies. Because they are handmade nests, the color scheme and material may vary slightly per product. The photos give a clear picture.
 

Ant colony and food

You can use or give the set as a gift without an ant colony and food, so the recipient can choose this later. Of course, it is also possible to order an ant colony and food directly. Below the price, we have listed the options with special offer prices. The set is specially designed for the harvester ant species. So our advice is to choose a Messor barbarus colony (harvester ants). Due to the intelligence this species shows in collecting, storing, and processing seeds, this is our favorite ant species!
