This feeding dish is simple, but perfectly suited for its purpose. You can use it to offer food to your ants, and it can be connected on both sides.

The dish has the following dimensions:
- 5 cm diameter
- 2.5 cm height (including lid)
- 10 mm connectors

We supply this feeding dish including a small piece of connecting tube and 1 end cap! The connecting tube is intended for connection to an arena or Ant Farm nest. If you want to connect a test tube, you will also need a black test tube connector. You can find these under 'connection materials'. You will receive the connector for free if you also order an ant colony in the same order.

Possibilities  

You can easily provide the dish with a layer of sand and/or a few small stones. Then, offer honeydew, sugar, fruit flies, or other food in it. This way, you can create a nice feeding spot.

The dish is hermetically sealed, so there is no escape risk!

If you are not using an opening, you can leave it sealed with the end cap.

Wood wool for Fruit fly breeding kit

Wood wool, enough to start a new culture in our separate plastic breeding jars with ventilated lids. The breeding jars are also available separately. Mix the culture medium (also sold separately) with lukewarm water until well blended; somewhat firm, but not liquid (like yogurt). Then place this wood wool in the jar and your culture is ready. Add at least 50 fruit flies and find a nice warm spot in your home.

The bag contains enough for setting up 1 fruit fly culture.

Ant Docking Station

Why a docking station for every nascent colony?

This is where the ant hobby begins. The ultimate start for any colony smaller than 50 workers. The small colony in a test tube needs shelter, a quiet place. Many ant species can benefit from a warm temperature, and you want to be able to connect your test tube to an outworld in a good and aesthetically pleasing way. Making a connection between the test tube and the outworld is always the first step in the hobby. After this is done, the colony can retrieve food from the outworld and dispose of their waste. There is only 1 product available worldwide that allows you to arrange all of this in one go.

The Docking Station is a must for every nascent ant colony up to about 50 workers!

The test tube L (16mm diameter and 150 mm long) fits precisely into the Docking Station.

Shelter for your ant colony
The lid closes precisely over the test tube for good shelter for your colony (for the moments when you are not looking).

Ventilation in the docking station
Ventilation openings are incorporated into the lid, for healthy air circulation around the test tube.

Heating for rapid and healthy development
Openings are made at the bottom where a heating cable can be placed in multiple ways without the risk of condensation. Various temperature increases can be achieved by placing a cable partially or completely. An explanation of how it works and which temperature increases you can achieve can be found in the included instructions.

Connection to the tunnels
From the Docking Station, the ants will manage the transport through the tunnels to outworlds and new nests. The connector piece from test tube to tunnels fits precisely onto this Docking Station.

The Docking Station looks sleek and neat. It makes all other products currently available for a test tube obsolete. No more holders made of acrylic or wood. No more shelter from foils, pieces of cloth, cardboard, or sleeves. No more fiddling, but professional and ready for the future of your colony in one go!

What you receive

The product consists of two parts. The dock comes with a base part into which the test tube fits and a lid that closes precisely over it. A few options can be ordered immediately here at attractive offer prices!

1. A test tube with nesting provision (moisture reservoir) if you do not yet have a nesting tube, or want to replace it (see example in the photos)
2. A connector piece to connect the test tube to the tunnel tubes.
3. Half a meter of tunnel tube to connect with the outworlds and nests.
4. A heating cable to provide your ant colony with the ultimate temperature for rapid and healthy development, so that they are quickly ready for a new, additional nesting environment!

Ant-Blox test tube connector transparent

Transparency Make your ant colony clearly visible with this fully transparent connection from the test tube (16 mm diameter) to the classic 10 mm connection hose. Please note: this test tube is only suitable for our Test Tube size L. Therefore, the connector is not suitable for test tubes other than this exact size.

For years, we have been using a black rubber connector in the ant-keeping hobby. It works fine, but there's always room for improvement! That's why, in recent years, we developed a completely new connection under our new brand Ant-Blox. With this new connector, you no longer lose space, as the connection is no longer inside the test tube; instead, you slide the Ant-Blox connector over the test tube. This prevents any damage to the test tube. The black connector could be pressed too hard (causing the plastic test tube to break). More importantly, this new connection makes everything visible; no more black sections where you don't know exactly what's happening with your ant colony.

Of course, you keep your colony well-protected in the test tube, but during weekly care, it's important and, above all, fun to be able to thoroughly check and see everything. And now, even when the nest tube is protected, you can secretly see a bit more of the transport to and from the colony—how cool is that!

Ready for the future? If you look closely at the connector, you'll see that there's not only a 10 mm connection point but also a larger connection possible on top (with the rubber ring). This connector is also prepared for connection using a completely new tunnel system. We will introduce this in 2025. Just as you can build with LEGO, you will soon be able to build your own ant city with the Ant-Blox tunnel system. With this connector, you are already prepared for it and will soon be able to combine your setup with the entire new Ant-Blox line.

This feeder cube is simple, yet perfectly suited for its purpose. You can use it to offer food to your ants.

The container has the following dimensions:
- 2 cm wide
- 2.5 cm high (including lid)

You can fill this feeder with water as a moisture reserve. You can also fill it with honeydew or sugar water. Make sure to clean this feeder every week.
 

Heating cable 1 meter

Ant's Kingdom Heating Cable

The Ant's Kingdom heating cable is the perfect solution as a (local) heat source for a terrarium, ant farm setup or vivarium. By attaching the heating cable under the bottom of your terrarium (place your terrarium on raised feet), the bottom will be heated gradually and with low energy consumption. Due to the flexibility of the cables, they can always be laid directly and without preheating in the desired pattern. This way you can get the heat exactly where you want it! The cable is in a beautiful white color and has a length of 2 meters, the first meter is for connecting and the last meter is fully heated. This is visible with a marking (dash) on the cable.
