Why a docking station for every nascent colony?

This is where the ant hobby begins. The ultimate start for any colony smaller than 50 workers. The small colony in a test tube needs shelter, a quiet place. Many ant species can benefit from a warm temperature, and you want to be able to connect your test tube to an outworld in a good and aesthetically pleasing way. Making a connection between the test tube and the outworld is always the first step in the hobby. After this is done, the colony can retrieve food from the outworld and dispose of their waste. There is only 1 product available worldwide that allows you to arrange all of this in one go.

The Docking Station is a must for every nascent ant colony up to about 50 workers!

Custom made
The test tube L (16mm diameter and 150 mm long) fits precisely into the Docking Station.

Shelter for your ant colony
The lid closes precisely over the test tube for good shelter for your colony (for the moments when you are not looking).

Ventilation in the docking station
Ventilation openings are incorporated into the lid, for healthy air circulation around the test tube.

Heating for rapid and healthy development
Openings are made at the bottom where a heating cable can be placed in multiple ways without the risk of condensation. Various temperature increases can be achieved by placing a cable partially or completely. An explanation of how it works and which temperature increases you can achieve can be found in the included instructions.

Connection to the tunnels
From the Docking Station, the ants will manage the transport through the tunnels to outworlds and new nests. The connector piece from test tube to tunnels fits precisely onto this Docking Station.

A feast for the eyes
The Docking Station looks sleek and neat. It makes all other products currently available for a test tube obsolete. No more holders made of acrylic or wood. No more shelter from foils, pieces of cloth, cardboard, or sleeves. No more fiddling, but professional and ready for the future of your colony in one go!

What you receive

The product consists of two parts. The dock comes with a base part into which the test tube fits and a lid that closes precisely over it. A few options can be ordered immediately here at attractive offer prices!

1. A test tube with nesting provision (moisture reservoir) if you do not yet have a nesting tube, or want to replace it (see example in the photos)
2. A connector piece to connect the test tube to the tunnel tubes.
3. Half a meter of tunnel tube to connect with the outworlds and nests.
4. A heating cable to provide your ant colony with the ultimate temperature for rapid and healthy development, so that they are quickly ready for a new, additional nesting environment!

Ant's Kingdom Heating Cable

The Ant's Kingdom heating cable is the perfect solution as a (local) heat source for a terrarium, ant farm setup or vivarium. By attaching the heating cable under the bottom of your terrarium (place your terrarium on raised feet), the bottom will be heated gradually and with low energy consumption. Due to the flexibility of the cables, they can always be laid directly and without preheating in the desired pattern. This way you can get the heat exactly where you want it! The cable is in a beautiful white color and has a length of 2 meters, the first meter is for connecting and the last meter is fully heated. This is visible with a marking (dash) on the cable.

It is not necessary but recommended.

Never use the heat mat under a nest tube of an ant colony, as this can cause condensation and temperature problems.

You can also use these heat mats in a net cage or breeding cage to heat a part (e.g., with eggs that need to hatch). For larger breeding nets (such as the professional breeding cage), use a larger heat mat.

Thermostat

This Terra Heat Thermostat guarantees accurate temperature control in your terrarium. The thermostat works on a plug-and-play principle. Plug the thermostat into a power outlet, connect the plug of your Heatmat or heating cable to the thermostat, and place the sensor under your terrarium or other enclosure.

The thermostat can regulate up to 16A, meaning you can connect a total of 3500W to one thermostat.

Humidity and temperature  

This meter displays the air humidity as a percentage and the temperature in degrees Celsius. Most insects and reptiles require a humidity level between 50 and 80% and a temperature at or slightly above room temperature. The meter has a 1.5-meter cable with a sensor to measure a specific location.
 

Temperature  

This meter displays the ambient temperature in degrees Celsius. For most insects, a temperature between 18 and 25 degrees is ideal.

Use suitable heat mats and/or heat cables and a thermostat to create an ideal environment. Various products are available on our website.
 

Installation  

This digital meter is easy to build in or place upright in your reptiles' or insects' enclosure.
 

Size  

The meter is 5 cm wide, 3 cm high, and 2 cm deep. We supply the meter with installed batteries. The cable is 1.5 meters long.

Temperature

This is a nice, simple adhesive thermometer. You can measure the temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. The temperature is very clear and easy to read.

Mounting

The thermometer has a convenient adhesive strip, making it easy to mount on glass or plastic. It can be affixed to both the inside and outside.

Size and shipping

The thermometer is 2 by 13 cm, making it suitable for almost any enclosure. We can ship the thermometer to you via letter post with low shipping costs.

Humidity  

You can read the humidity of the air as a percentage on this meter. Most insects and reptiles require a humidity between 50 and 80%.

Use a good sprayer to adjust the humidity. This sprayer is also available through our website. 
 

Temperature  

You can read the ambient temperature in degrees Celsius on this meter. For most insects, a temperature between 18 and 25 degrees is ideal.

Use appropriate heat mats or heat cables and a thermostat to create the ideal environment. Various products are available on our site.
 

Installation  

This digital meter is easy to place in your enclosure wherever you want it, thanks to the strong suction cup. Additionally, the meter can be rotated 360 degrees, giving you a clear view of the readings at all times. Is it dark? No problem, press the 'light' button and your values will be brightly illuminated.
 

Size  

The meter is 5 cm wide, 3 cm high, and 2 cm deep. The meter comes with a battery included.

Heat Pack 40 hours

This HeatPack 40 hours is the medium-sized and powerful multi-functional warmer also known as AquaPack or simply HeatPack. The heat pack has many applications.
