Sand ant farm set - introduction

The sand ant farm is handmade from high-quality transparent plexiglass and complete because the nest part and arena are integrated.

This sand ant farm set consists of two parts. The top is a sleek outdoor enclosure, closed with a handy ventilated lid. The bottom is the nest part. Both the nest part and the arena can be expanded on both sides. So, over time, you can build an enormous ant city.

The sand ant farm is suitable for both small and large ant species, including Messor and Lasius. Due to the separate outdoor enclosure, you can easily feed the colony with fruit flies and sugar water or honeydew (and the seed mixture for the harvester ants. Please note that the colony needs to get used to the new environment initially and will develop further from the test tube (test tube). Growing a colony therefore requires some patience.

We supply the sand ant farm set including a bag of sand-loam filling, a 10ml moisture syringe for adding moisture, and, of course, our digital booklet 'Ants are heroes'. The sand ant farm set is a complete ant farm with a great appearance.
 

Material - what is the set made of and how?

We make this sand ant farm set entirely by hand in-house in the Netherlands! Due to this production method, it is possible that you may see small imperfections in the product (such as very light spots or edges). You will only see this from very close up or with strong lighting. We do our best to work as neatly and accurately as possible.

This starter set is complete and consists of:

- The booklet 'Ants are heroes' is included with the set. In this booklet, you will find very detailed explanations on how to start the hobby properly and a lot of information about (the development of) an ant colony.
