Ant's Kingdom Jupiter (Universe Collection)
The intelligence of ants is from another planet, extraterrestrial! We still understand only a small part of how ants can cooperate so efficiently. The Universe Collection was created to illustrate this supernatural phenomenon. Build your own universe now, complete your setup with this Jupiter, and you'll have a complete ant solar system!
The farm is perfectly suitable for both small and medium-sized colonies of species such as Lasius, Myrmica, Pheidole, Messor, and Formica.
These nests are equipped with a foam part, which keeps the nest moist for about 1 week. To humidify the nest, you can wet this foam (syringe included). It absorbs and distributes moisture without danger of flooding chambers and corridors. The foam must therefore remain moist so that the ants find a good environment in this nest.
The system is very practical with this unique water supply. Even cleaning the complete Ant Farm is possible. First, you connect another enclosure or nest tube to which the ants move, and then the acrylic nest can be easily unscrewed and rinsed with water.
The nest can be easily expanded through the 10 mm opening on the outside. Other enclosures can be connected with tubes.
Ant Colony
Almost all ant colonies can be kept in this nest. Choose a colony above for a special offer price.
Feeding Set
The diet of a Lasius ant colony consists of a combination of sugar water, honeydew, and fruit flies, and for a Messor colony, seeds are also added. A feeding set can be ordered above.

Ant Farm Gel - Green Edition
Let the ants do their work and watch a complete structure emerge! The ant farm gel is a high-tech habitat for ants. Based on the technology NASA used to study life in a weightless environment. It is completely self-sustaining; the beautiful transparent gel serves as food, moisture, and shelter for the ants. The only thing you need to add to your ant farm (15 x 15 x 3 cm) are the ants themselves.
Included:
- Green ant farm gel
- Stick to make the first tunnels
- Magnifying glass
- User instructions
- Manual and booklet
How Ant Farm Gel Works
How long do ants live in the Gel Ant Farm?
Ants live from a few months to a year. The lifespan can vary. The worker ants we supply should last several weeks to a few months and are guaranteed to dig in the gel. If all ants die within the first two weeks, we will send replacements for free.
How long does the gel last?
The ant farm gel is a complete food source for the ants. Since ants don't eat much and even excavate and reuse waste from the gel, it is more than sufficient for an ant family. We also have gel refills available in various colors to start anew.
Maintenance & Care
Maintenance and care are simple:
- No additional feeding is required.
- Open the lid slightly a few times a week for fresh air.
- Remove condensation and waste if possible.
Ants
This offer does not include ants; we recommend choosing an ant family. With the product, you will receive a coupon for a discounted ant family. These are worker ants from Southern Europe that create an underground system of tunnels and chambers in nature. The ants are then sent in a test tube. They can stay in this tube for up to about a week before being placed in the Ant Farm. Instructions on how to place the ants are explained in the booklet that comes with your Ant Farm gel.
Then be amazed by these special animals that teach us what true teamwork is!

Ant Farm Starter Set
The best foundation for starting to cultivate your own ant colony can be found in this starter set!
The biggest challenge of the hobby is getting started. How do you ensure that your queen, with a few workers, grows into a healthy, large colony? The 'Ant Dock Station' in combination with the arena makes this much easier.
In addition to the excellent shelter and robust character of the 'Ant Dock Station', you can now also provide your ants with the correct temperature. At the end of the Dock, there is a recess where the 1-meter heating cable fits precisely (optional to order separately). By correctly positioning the heating cable, you can provide the test tube with your ant colony with the correct temperature. Now your ants will be nice and warm, even during the cold periods of the year! With the right temperature, your colony will grow the fastest, and that's what you want!
The Dock where you place the test tube can thus be seen as the nesting area, which is normally underground. Warmed by the sun, protected by the earth, and ventilated for the ants. This is all incorporated into the Dock. The Arena is the above-ground part. In this outdoor living area, which the ants can access via the transport tube, the ants can collect their food (which you place there once a week) and dispose of their waste.
How cool is it to be able to closely follow the ants' cooperation and the transport through the tube.
This starter set is suitable for all types of ants. Don't have a colony yet? Then you can choose from different types above, including food, and order them at great promotional prices. The heating cable and arena setup can also be ordered above.

The sand ant farm is handmade from high-quality transparent plexiglass and complete because the nest part and arena are integrated.
This sand ant farm set consists of two parts. The top is a sleek outdoor enclosure, closed with a handy ventilated lid. The bottom is the nest part. Both the nest part and the arena can be expanded on both sides. So, over time, you can build an enormous ant city.

Due to the separate outdoor enclosure, you can easily feed the colony with fruit flies and sugar water or honeydew (and the seed mixture for the harvester ants. Please note that the colony needs to get used to the new environment initially and will develop further from the test tube (test tube). Growing a colony therefore requires some patience.
We supply the sand ant farm set including a bag of sand-loam filling, a 10ml moisture syringe for adding moisture, and, of course, our digital booklet 'Ants are heroes'. The sand ant farm set is a complete ant farm with a great appearance.

Ant Family L
Hard Workers
These worker ants come from Spain and are active all year round. This makes them very suitable for gel ant farms. This ant family, consisting of 15 to 20 worker ants, is specifically intended for our gel ant farms (Ant's Kingdom and Antquarium).
Other gel products
PLEASE NOTE: products from other providers have been found to be ineffective or work poorly. The ants usually do not accept this gel. The purchase of our ants for these products is at your own risk. The products from our webshop are all suitable, and we guarantee them.
Shipping, packaging, and storage
You will receive the ants in a tube, and we provide a digital manual with information, including how to place the ants. It is not possible to say in advance how old the ants are or how long they will live in the gel, as this depends on many factors. On average, they live in it for a few months to over half a year.
If you purchase only an ant family, we will ship it in a letterbox package. The ant family can then be stored for up to a week. However, we advise placing the ants as soon as possible (due to the risk of dehydration). For longer storage tips, please contact us.
Warranty and service
We guarantee that the ants will dig in the products we offer. If they do not, or if they all die within two weeks (with proper care/installation), we will provide a free replacement.
Looking for a manual? See the 'Product attachments' tab above.

Ant Colony Myrmica rubra 1 gyne 30+
Species
Myrmica rubra is also called the common red sting ant. A well-known native ant! Our ant colonies consist of a queen along with brood and a number of workers. This number depends on the number of eggs that have developed into ants (egg-larva-pupa-ant). This colony already contains 30+ workers.
The colonies are polygynous, meaning that multiple gynes, queens, can occur in one nest (not necessarily). This colony has 1 gyne, which is only slightly larger than regular workers.
Please note, these ants have a very clear seasonal cycle, so it may happen that a colony has little (or even no) brood during the autumn and winter period. This will then return in spring with higher temperatures!
Please note, different warranty conditions
Myrmica rubra is a fun species to keep, but clearly more challenging than, for example, Lasius niger or Messor barbarus. We guarantee the live arrival of the queen and ants, but we cannot go beyond that. A Myrmica rubra colony can die within a few days under incorrect (especially too dry) conditions. Therefore, the lifespan is clearly dependent on the housing and care. If something is already wrong upon receipt, that is of course our responsibility and at our risk. This must be reported to us within 24 hours (after receipt) with clear photos. If you have doubts about the care and purchase of a Myrmica colony, please contact us first for advice!
Suitable for
The ant colony is intended for sand and plaster ant farms. Sand is preferred here. We also recommend using an arena. The ants can get their food and dispose of waste there. Many products have an integrated arena. For Myrmica, this arena is extremely important. They must be able to continuously obtain fresh/moist food here.
If you are looking for ants for a gel ant farm, we recommend the ant family.
Packaging and shipping
The colony is in a test tube with cotton behind it providing water to keep the nest tube partially moist. Due to its size, the colony cannot stay in this tube for too long without care (maximum a few days after receipt). We guarantee the life of the queen upon arrival. The ant colonies are safely packed and shipped in foil.

| Remarks: | Myrmica rubra is an interesting species. They develop quickly and can also move quickly. Our experience is that it is important to keep a part of the nest really well moist. Dehydration is a great danger. The red sting ant has a stinger and can therefore sting. This the ant only does when in danger (e.g., being crushed or an intrusion into the nest. The sting is not dangerous and feels similar to nettles. For the more serious ant keeper, a little excitement in this hobby is not a problem, right?! ;-) |
Ant colony Myrmica rubra 1 gyne 50+
Species
Myrmica rubra is also known as the common red ant. A well-known ant from our own soil! Our ant colonies consist of a queen along with brood and a number of workers. This number depends on the number of eggs that have developed into ants (egg-larva-pupa-ant). This colony already contains more than 50 workers.
The colonies are polygynous, meaning that multiple gynes, queens, can be present in a nest (not necessarily). This colony has 1 gyne, which are only slightly larger than a regular worker.
Please note, these ants have a very clear seasonal distribution, so it is possible that a colony has little (or even no) brood in the autumn and winter period. This will then return with higher temperatures in the spring!
